I think there are typically two types of VW Camper enthusiasts. Those who love the restoration and those who love the journey it provides them. As way of balancing the site a little, I decided on a side hobby of mountaineering photography. I have always been a keen mountaineer, but, never taken the time to take stock and record a few of these adventures. Now, it’s Nov 2020, I have spent almost all of my free time over the last 2 years on the VW restoration project. The initial intention was for the Bus to provide a camping base for this hobby. As it stands we are still not mobile on the bus, this is source of great frustration for me. Although most aspects of the restoration have been enjoyable the amount of money spent to get this up and running simply does not justify the end game. That being said, I am way too far into the hole to abandon ship on it! In the meantime, the completed Caddy restoration is providing a fun means of getting out and about so not all lost. Enjoy the photos and the views, if it inspires a few of you to get your head out of your engine bay and out amongst our beautiful countryside then job done! Have fun..
Beeston Castle March 2020

Snowdonia February 2020

I have never taken any pictures in this capacity before, but, thought it about time to provide myself with a few memories for the future. Although not visiting in the Bus or Caddy at…
Anglesey February 2020
Couple of pics of my adventure to Anglesey, North Wales in February 2020 – a very cold, wet and windy one! I had just bought a new camera (Canon EOS R) and thought I would try it out. Anglesey is only a couple of hours away from where I live in Cheshire so packed with…
